ShadowSlot / SlotPulse
A real-time availability monitoring and notification SaaS: watchers, alerting, subscriptions and agency workflows built around speed of signal.
01 — Overview
A monitoring infrastructure that turns domain-specific availability signals into delivered alerts in seconds: users define watchers, a distributed polling engine checks targets, and notifications route through multiple channels — with subscription-aware delivery.
02 — The Challenge
Agencies lose opportunities because availability appears and disappears in minutes. Checking manually does not scale, and generic uptime tools don't understand domain-specific availability signals or subscription-based access to alerts.
03 — The Solution
We designed a watcher system: users define what to monitor and under which conditions; a distributed polling engine checks targets, normalizes signals, and pushes notifications through multiple channels in seconds. Subscriptions gate alert speed and volume, with usage tracked per plan.
04 — Product Experience
This is a private client deployment — product screens are not published. A walkthrough is available on request.
05 — Engineering
Node.js workers on Redis streams for horizontal scaling, WebSocket push for real-time dashboards, PostgreSQL for watcher definitions and delivery history, per-user notification routing with deduplication and quiet hours, all containerized.
06 — Outcome
A monitoring infrastructure that turns availability signals into delivered alerts in seconds — with subscription-aware delivery.
- Watcher definition engine
- Distributed polling on Redis streams
- Multi-channel notification routing
- Subscription metering and gating
Engineering complexity
- Distributed polling engine on Redis streams
- Real-time delivery with dedup and quiet hours
- Usage metering tied to subscription tiers
