01 — Overview
Al-Zaytouna is the digital home of a religious education institute: a public-facing platform where prospective students discover programs and enroll, backed by an academic management system for the institute's staff. The platform serves content in Arabic with full RTL support.
02 — The Challenge
The institute was running on spreadsheets and disconnected tools. Enrollment, scheduling, payments and academic records lived in separate places, producing manual reconciliation work, errors, and no single source of truth for decisions. The public face also needed to reflect the institute's identity in Arabic, with a right-to-left experience done properly.
03 — The Solution
We started from the academic workflow, not the feature list: how terms, programs, groups, sessions and assessments actually relate. That model became the backbone of the platform, with role-based access for administrators, teachers and students, automation for the repetitive operations the staff was doing by hand, and a public landing experience designed for enrollment.

A Next.js full-stack application with a strict TypeScript domain layer, Prisma on PostgreSQL for relational integrity, Redis for caching and session-critical paths, containerized with Docker and served through Nginx with a staged deployment flow.
06 — Outcome
A single system of record for the institute's academic operations, with structured data replacing spreadsheets and operational workflows automated end to end. The platform is live and accepting enrollments.
